Cast metal centerpiece made with single-use molds.

What is it?

A metal hanger centerpiece made from expendable molds involves pouring molten metal—typically steel or aluminum—into a single-use mold shaped for the desired form. Once the metal solidifies, the mold is broken away to release the finished centerpiece, allowing for unique and intricate designs that are otherwise difficult to achieve with reusable molds.

This method is best for producing custom or complex pieces in small quantities, as each mold is destroyed after use. While expendable molding enables detailed shapes and rapid prototyping, it is less efficient for mass production due to higher labor and material costs per item
